Team Alexander: Khan, You and Shah Stop F***ing Around

By Rick Reeno

In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com, former champion Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) stated that his team has been unable to secure a fight with IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (25-1, 14KOs). Khan is looking to return on December 7th.

"We are looking at December 7 for my next fight and looking at opponents," said Khan. "I have tried to get Devon Alexander. It was looking promising. He said he wanted to fight at the start and now it slowly seems that he is not 100 percent sure about it, coming up with excuses. Even if it's not in Dubai, I will fight him in America, I will fight him wherever."

Kevin Cunningham, manager and trainer of Alexander, told BoxingScene.com that he never received any proposal for his boxer to face Khan in Dubai or any other country.

"First of all, Devon is the champion and Khan is the challenger. Second, we have yet to seen any proposal with reference to a Khan fight. So what excuses have we made? Devon would love to check Khan's chin, but there is no deal on the table as of yet. Khan and his dad [Shah Khan] were quoted as saying there was a deal in Dubai that we were not interested in doing. If there was such a deal, Al [Haymon] would have discussed it with me and that has not happened," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

"Devon has never ducked anybody. He faced the biggest punchers in the division...Maidana, Matthysse, Urango and Bailey. So why would he duck a glass-jawed con job like Amir. Team Khan has this arrogant, sense of entitlement attitude. But like I said before, they don't dictate sh*t over here. Khan said Devon ducked a fight with him at 140, we were never offered a fight with him at 140. Now he's saying Devon doesn't want to fight. Hey Amir, you and your daddy stop f***ing around, sign the contract so Devon can check your chin and make you do the St. Louis boogaloo."
Devon doesn't really talk trash, Kevin does though. Let's not forget that Khan's dad is always running his mouth too.
:lol1: point me to where Khan's dad has ever ran his mouth?
I'm hardly a hater, I actually predict Devon to win but that doesn't take away from the fact that Maidana was/is at his best at 140 and that's the version Khan beat. Devon's resume is one of the top? Really,…
Fans usually go to more than one fight. He sold 36 tickets vs Bradley.
That fight sold 6,000 tickets, which is very good for any fight in America. It just looked like non one was there because they held…
