Team Alexander: Khan, Want Your Ass Whooped or Not?

By Ryan Burton

"Hey Amir make up your mind. You either want this ass whooping or you don't!" a livid Kevin Cunningham told BoxingScene.com shortly after Amir Khan's team sent out a press release shooting down rumors that they plan on sitting out till next May to secure a lucrative showdown against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Talks between Khan and Alexander have been ongoing for months and Alexander's trainer and manager Kevin Cunningham wants Khan to make up his mind quickly so they can go in a different direction if needed.

The plan all along was for Khan to face Alexander on December 7th with the winner having a good chance of facing Mayweather on May 3rd. Recent rumors suggest that the risk may be too high for Team Khan and that they are exploring avenues where they can sit out till May and lock in a fight versus the pound for pound king.

"Team Khan is full of sh*t!  One minute Khan's calling Devon out, the next minute he's trying to get a Mayweather fight. Devon's career doesn't revolve around Khan, so if they want a shot at Devon's title they better get a deal done soon. We are almost 8 weeks out. They have been screwing around for five months," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.
What makes you so sure? The only reason Devon has ANY chance is because Khan has a notoriously weak chin. Other than punch resistance, what does Devon have on Khan?
Stamina, skill and just about everything else boxing related…

Khan v Alexander is a must because we know Floyd isn't fighting Manny or Bradley any time soon. the only other legit welter out there, would be the winner of this fight. It needs to happen. I won't have a…

Yeah I distinctly remember Khan being knocked down vs Molina, Peterson, Judah, McCloskey, Maidana, Paulie, Salita, Kotelnik, Barrerra, and all his previous fights #fact. Khan's defense is leaky as hell but if you don't have power your no threat to…
