Team Alexander "Khan is Disrespecting Another Trainer"

By Ryan Burton

Devon Alexander's manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham recently spoke to BoxingScene.com about Amir Khan's decision to bring in Rick Coward to work the mitts in Khan's training camp for his December 7th fight against Alexander.

Khan recently posted the decision on his Twitter account.  He said that he is bringing in Coward who is known as "Coach Rick the Mittologist" and according to his Twitter account is a reality tv star.

Khan also tweeted that Coward will do all of the mitt work in this camp while trainer Virgil Hunter coaches from the side.

"Khan continues to disrespect great trainers. He blamed (Freddie) Roach for his loses and now he brings in a Roger Mayweather copy cat trainer to do mitts. So I guess he's saying Virgil Hunter's mitt work isn't good enough," Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.
All fighters make "excuses" or have reasons why they lost a fight. Alexander used the exact same reason to explain why Matthysse beat his ass.
As many as Khan?? I dont think so...
Khan is an entertaining fighter and has been in some great fights... I'm a fan but what annoys me about him is there is always some excuse. Making the weight is killing him - when he loses at WW he'll…

it really has nothing to do with anything, but you can't help but be struck by the name "Rick Coward;" doesn't sound like a good choice
