Khan he? Britain's Amir Khan could be an exacting and fascinating challenge for Floyd Mayweather, with his speed and his power, according to WBC Executive Secretary Mauricio Sulaiman.

Khan (28-3, 19KOs) could very well challenge Mayweather (45-0, 26KOs) on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Sulaiman said the following - "Amir is a very interesting potential opponent for Floyd. Amir is a big star in the UK and he can punch. However, only when we see both of them up in the ring, will we appreciate if Khan really is a good opponent for Floyd."

Floyd has not yet announced who's next on his fight list. His pending decison is to advise the World Boxing Council on whether or not he plans to keep his WBC welter or super welterweight title. But Maurcio comments that there's no reason to rush.

“We’re expecting we can get in touch with him in January. He's has had a great year full of action, and has shown great loyalty to the WBC many, many times."
