WBC President Jose Sulaiman is disputing Jorge Arce's claim of being the first "Mexican boxer to win four world titles in four weight divisions." Arce knocked out Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. last Saturday to win the super bantamweight title. Arce was the WBC/WBO junior flyeweight champion and the WBA/WBC super flyweight champion. Sulaiman says Arce's title at 112-pounds was the WBC interim-belt and the Mexican boxer never held the "full title."

"I congratulate him for his triumph, but my full respect still falls for the big triple world champions like Julio Cesar Chavez and Erik Morales. Arce can continue celebrating his victory, but he does not have four world titles, because one of them was temporary," Sulaiman said.
