Sources: Austin Trout Fails His Post-Fight Drug Test

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been advised by several strong Mexican sources that WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (23-0, 13KOs) failed a post-fight drug test for last Saturday's fight with David "Destroyer" Lopez (40-13, 23KOs). Trout won a twelve round decision over Lopez in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Reportedly, Trout tested positive for marijuana. The fight is likely going to end up as a no-contest. I've heard Lopez's promoter, Hector Garcia, is in the process of sending a letter to the WBA to request an immediate rematch and/or Trout being stripped and Lopez getting a direct shot for the vacant title.

[QUOTE=Hamaru;10698384]This is a lot of BS. After peeing in the cup, they didn't have Austin sign anything and they didn't even seal the cup to provide credible proof that it was Austin's pee. Immediately after hearing about the "results" Austin…
