Maybe WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko knocked something loose in the head of Shannon Briggs, because last Saturday's title challenger is calling for a rematch. Klitschko battered and bruised Briggs for twelve rounds in Hamburg, Germany. Briggs suffered facial fractures, a torn left bicep, a busted left eardrum and swelling all over his entire face.

Briggs says the injury to the left arm took place in the very first round. He truly believes that if two healthy arms were at his disposal, he would have beaten Klitschko to become the new champion. Briggs is still hospitalized in Hamburg. He is scheduled for surgery on the left arm in the next few days.

"I want a rematch, so I can fight him with both arms. With one hand, it was the toughest fight of my life," Briggs was quoted by Golzka.
