Sources close to the information have informed BoxingScene that Gabriel Sarmiento will once again work with Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) for his next fight, possibly against Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) on June 7th at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Martínez will still be trained by Gabriel’s brother, Pablo, however the man who guided ‘Maravilla’ to the world title will be working alongside him.

Gabriel trained Martinez for much of his career, but ran into some legal issues that landed him in jail. He was released last year and reconciled with his brother and Martinez.

It is understood he will also help to prepare IBF super bantamweight champion Kiko Martínez in the next defence of his title against Hozumi Hasegawa of Japan.
