Middleweight contender Sergio Martinez (46-2, 25KOs) is expecting a very tough fight from his next opponent, Sergei Dzinziruk (37-0, 23KOs) of Ukraine. The fight will happen on March 12 at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. The WBC's Diamond Belt, at middleweight, is on the line.
""He's a great champion. He's very good technically and very smart in the ring. He's left handed, like me. He has a good jab and knows how to box very well. He is not a fighter who wins with his power, but by using his skill as a good boxer," Martinez said to Nube Argiles. "He's going to try to win in the same manner as me, by boxing. 2010 was the best year of my career. And I'm sure that 2011 will be even better."
Martinez is in the middle of training camp. He calls it the "toughest camp of his career."
"Things are going very well. We are going through some very strong and very hard training. I going into the third week and luckily I'm in a very good rhythm. I'm well prepared for the last few weeks, which are going to be the hardest in my training camp," Martinez said.
