Earlier today, WBO light heavyweight world champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (23-0-1, 21KOs) was training at the Iron Mike Productions Gym in Deerfield Beach, Florida - as he prepares for his HBO televised title defense against unbeaten contender Cedric Agnew (26-0, 13KOs).

Kovalev and his team, led by trainer John David Jackson, were putting in some tough routines. The fight with Agnew is scheduled for March 29th at The Ballroom located in the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey

“We are working hard as usual. Sergey is a very disciplined athlete and for sure he will be ready to defend his title on March 29th,” said Jackson.

Regarding a future unification with WBC champion Adonis Stevenson, Kovalev held nothing back with his feelings. The two fighters have been trading harsh words for the last few days.

“Unfortunately the only words that I can use to describe a coward like Adonis is that he is a piece of sh*t....and right now we are focused on Agnew and working hard to be ready in New Jersey to got another victory," Kovalev said.
