Saunders-Eubank Rematch Nearly Complete For Late June

By Rick Reeno

Sources in Las Vegas have advised that a deal is nearly complete for a late June rematch between British middleweight rivals Billy Joe Saunders (21-0, 11KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (19-1, 14KOs).

They fought last November, with Saunders winning a razor close twelve round split decision. Saunders has yet to fight again, but Eubank bounced back in February with a twelfth round knockout of previously unbeaten Dmitry Chudinov to capture the interim-WBA middleweight title.

The two fighters were scheduled to appear in separate fights on Saturday night, and they were pulled as the rematch drew closer.

Eubank, who is currently training in Las Vegas, has already signed a contract to face Saunders in the rematch. Saunders, who is on board with the match, is said to be signing shortly.

Promoter Frank Warren is said to be in the process of securing a soccer stadium for late June. No date or venue has been finalized as of yet.

Well that throws a spanner in the works. In all honesty, i wanted to see the rematch further down the line anyway. Hope to see Saunders Vs Lee now.

In the artical it says Eubank has signed. Saunders hasnt. On Saunders twitter hes saying he doesnt wsnt the fight. Something about needing a warm up after being out for 6 months. Eubank fought an amazing pace over 12 rounds…
