British rivals Chris Eubank Jr. and Billy Joe Saunders have once again resumed their war of words.

The two boxers collided in 2014, with Saunders winning a very close twelve round decision to hand Eubank Jr. his first career defeat.

Back in May, Saunders was the frontrunner to face Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas.

The entire event was canceled as the coronavirus pandemic had at that point shut down most of the United States.

Since that fight fell apart, Eubank Jr. has been angling for a crack at Canelo.

Recently, Saunders announced that he was walking away from the possibility of a showdown with Canelo in September - stating that he was unable to properly train.

However, Saunders was not in the running for that fall fight, as Golden Boy Promotions, who handle Canelo, openly admit that there isn't enough money in the pot to stage an event with any of the world champions. Saunders would have been required to take a decent shave on his financial demands.

Eubank, who holds the WBA interim-middleweight title, took to social media to once again call for a crack at Canelo - while at the same time taking a few stabs at Saunders.

"Eddie Hearn already told everyone why my fight with GGG didn’t happen. Two months isn’t enough time for the drugs Billy Joe Saunders uses to get in shape, to leave his system, so he pulled out of the Canelo fight. Guess he’s just gotta go back to beating up women again," Eubank stated.

And Saunders, who holds the WBO's super middleweight championship, is well known for his controversial antics.

It didn't take long before he took a deep dig right back at Eubank.

"The only drugs I use is Viagra for when I dismantle your mum's fanny," Saunders stated.
