Saul Rodriguez Faces Daniel Diaz in UniMas Clash

Unbeaten junior lightweight Saul Rodriguez will return to the ring on February 7, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday night.

Rodriguez will face his toughest test to date in Daniel Diaz at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. The Nicaraguan-born Diaz (22-6-1, 15 KOs) has won his last two bouts.

The eight round bout will take be broadcast on UniMas.

Also scheduled to fight on the Top Rank card is junior lightweight Casey Ramos.

Rodriguez (16-0-1, 13 KOs) just fought on January 17, knocking out Carlos Rodriguez in the second round in Port Hueneme, Calif.

Rodriguez resides in Riverside, Calif. and splits training between there and in Oxnard with Robert Garcia.
