By Alfredo Jaime Gomez, notifight.com

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the junior middleweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), is prefparing to start training again. Alvarez returns after a dominating stoppage of Ryan Rhodes on June 18 in Guadalajara. Canelo will begin running on Monday. His manager, Eddy Reynoso, says there are three possible options for his boxer's next defense, which is going to take place on September 17.

"It could be against Ricardo Mayorga, Alfonso Gomez or Vanes Martirosyan. The date [of Canelo's fight] is firm for September 17 in Los Angeles or a city in Mexico," Reynoso said.

Let's begin to unify the titles. Fight Cornelius "K9" Bundrage!!!!!! That would be a true test.
