According to reports in Nicaragua, Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (40-0, 34 KOs) will potentially make the first defense of his WBC flyweight championship against Filipino challenger Rocky Fuentes on November 22nd in Japan. The fight is not confirmed, but Gonzalez's handlers are said to be considering Fuentes for the fight. Gonzalez recently stopped Japan's Akira Yaegashi to capture the world title. Fuentes (35-7-2, 20KOs), for his part, lost a twelve round decision to top Thai fighter Amnat Ruenroeng in January - when they battled for the IBF's version of the title.
