Japanese promoter Akihiko Honda, director of Teiken Promotions, is targeting a date in September for the anticipated battle between Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez (39-0, 33KOs) and Japan's Akira Yaegashi (20-3, 10KOs), who holds the flyweight championship of the World Council Boxing (WBC). The card would also feature the first defense by WBC junior flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (6-0, 5KOs), who captured the title in April with a sixth round TKO of Mexican veteran Adrien Hernandez.
