Ricky Hatton has moved swiftly to scotch rumors alleging that he is set to quit the sport of boxing by telling Sky Sports News that he is in the gym and is back in training.  It was earlier reported that Hatton, 31, had confessed to his friends that he was in two-minds about whether or not to return to the sport.  Indeed,’s sources have informed us that Hatton changes his mind daily in regards to his comeback and that the plans for his next fight have waxed and waned accordingly.

Talks of a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez are reportedly underway but 'The Hitman' will have to address his own desire to fight before stepping in with Juan, who will be eager to hand Hatton another loss and is not a man you should fight if you have any doubts about your future in the sport.

Hatton was brushed aside in two rounds by Manny Pacquiao last May and his weight has rocketed during his lay-off, reportedly hitting the 180-200lb mark in recent times.  The longer he leaves it the harder it will be to remove, and the man who ended the career of Kostya Tszyu needs to make his mind up, and fast.
