Ramirez Upsets Moreno With Controversial Split Nod

Maribel Ramirez (9-6-2, 3KOs) won a controversial eight round split decision victory over  Esmeraldo Moreno (25-7-1, 9KOs) in a flyweight fight at Foro Polanco in Mexico City, Mexico. Moreno loses for the first time since March 2010 and snaps her eleven fight winning streak. Ramirez lost her last three fights going into this contest. The scores were 77-75 twice for Ramirez and 77-76 for Moreno.
