For the first time in nearly five years, the Marquez brothers are going to fight on the same card. Rafael Marquez, who previously said that he wouldn't fight until October, is planning to return in the co-feature to his brother's upcoming fight. Juan Manuel Marquez will face Likar Ramos on July 16 in Mexico City, Cancun or Guanajuato.

Juan is using the fight as a tuneup for a scheduled trilogy bout with Manny Pacquiao on November 12 in Las Vegas. Brother Rafael is going to face Eusebio Osejo (19-9-2, 17 KOs). Rafael is using the fight as a tuneup for a planned fight on October 1 with Toshiaki Nishioka, the super bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council.

"It has always been special to fight in Mexico and it will be even more so to do it with my brother. We have not fought on the same card in a long time, but we did well the last time and we hope to repeat the same winning formula," Rafael told Sal Rodriguez. "I'm coming back from a period of inactivity caused by an injury, so I decided to take this fight. I'm happy to take this fight with my brother and I hope the people will support us."
