One of the leading Russian promoters, German Titov, has quite a few fighters under his banner. Besides WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog, Titov sat down with BoxingScene.com to discuss a few of the boxers in his stable.

What is the latest and greatest with German Titov?

- I’m planning a terrific homecoming for the local fans on December 5 at DIVS arena in Yekaterinburg, Russia, in association with my long-time partner Kirill Pchelnikov. There will be a nice card, which will feature a number of my best protégés in good-to-excellent match-ups.

- Who will headline the show?

- There will be two featured bouts of the night. WBO #12 Ruslan Provodnikov (19-1, 13 KOs) takes a natural step in his graduation by facing former world champion, battle-hardened [DeMarcus] Chop-Chop Corley (37-18-1, 22 KOs). Granted that Corley isn’t what he once was but he still is a good teacher for a rising prospect. This fight will be scheduled for a vacant WBC regional title, which hopefully will earn Ruslan his WBC ranking.

Another match-up is even more fascinating as we shall have two world-class unbeaten fighters colliding for a real supremacy. It’s when WBO #2 ranked lightweight Alisher Rakhimov (22-0, 11 KOs) takes on WBC #12 rated Saddam Kietyongyuth (23-0, 18 KOs) in a battle for both the WBC ABC and WBO Asia Pacific belts. It’s a terrific match-up, which will force all of the fans to jump in ecstasy.

- Will this fight be an eliminator?

- No, it won’t but the winner will get both WBO and WBC ranks and presents an instant boost to [the winner's] career.

- Who will else take part in that show?

- We are planning Andrey Isaev (23-3, 7 KOs), Fariz Kazimov (12-2-1, 3 KOs), Fedor Papazov (8-0, 6 KOs) and Dmitry Mikhailenko (12-0, 5 KOs) to take part in the show.

- What is about your young Olympic guns Vyacheslav Glazkov (2008 Beijing super heavyweight gold medalist) and Felix Diaz (2008 Beijing light welterweight gold medalist)?

- Diaz (10-0, 6 KOs) is still working with me. We signed a co-promotional deal with the Golden Boy to help him evolve into a true nova of boxing. As for Slava (9-0, 6 KOs), he will appear next on November 4 on the Lebedev vs. Toney undercard. He will be featured in a good fight.

- Maxim Vlasov (21-1, 11 KOs) has two contradictory dates, listed for him at BoxRec. Will he fight Ismayl Sillakh or rising South African Thomas Oosthuizen (16-0-1, 11 KOs)?

- Vlasov will not fight Sillakh. He is a super middleweight, not a light heavyweight as was proved by his fight with Isaac Chilemba. So we shall not move him up for a bigger, stronger fighter, who is Sillakh. Oosthuizen is a good possibility but nothing is signed yet. That fight can complete a magic triangle between him, Maxim and Chilemba (Oosthuizen drew with Malawian in 2010). We are working to make a deal but negotiations are just under way.
