Famous Russian boxing manager and promoter, Vladimir Hryunov, is ready to begin negotiations for a showdown in 2013 between heavyweight champions Alexander Povetkin (25-0, 17 KOs) and Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51KOs).
Wladimir, who has the WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO titles, will face unbeaten Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KOs) on November 10. The winner must face Povetkin, the WBA's "regular" champion, by the end of February. Povetkin returned on Saturday in Hamburg and demolished faded two-time champion Hasim Rahman.
"After yesterday's fight [against Rahman], we can start negotiations. It all depends on the outcome of Wladimir's fight to make this happen. Remember that Wach is undefeated. Yesterday fans in the hall saw that Povetkin is ready. He has the skills and he can deliver a precise tactical plan to win," Hryunov said.
