SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Guanajuato - Jalisco's Ramon "Inocente" Alvarez (20-4-2, 12KOs) is looking to close the year with yet another big victory. The older brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez pulled off a big decision win on September 27th over Omar Chavez, the younger brother of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Chavez will now take on former WBA champion Vivian "Vicious" Harris (32-9-2, 19KOs) tomorrow night in Mexico. Both fighters weighed in at 154-pounds. Their fight will have the vacant IBF North American title at stake.

Harris is also coming off a big win, an upset decision victory over Jorge Paez Jr.

"I've watched a few videos of him because I do not rely on that, but it helps me to know what my opponents bring. It is better to study things in the first round," Alvarez said. "Harris has quick hands. He is stationary, so that is the advantage that I have. If there is an opportunity, I will go for the finish."

"I will defeat Harris. My brother hurt his ankle (Canelo) and had cancel his December fight, so I have to close out the year [for the Alvarez family]. It is a great challenge for me and I will get a victory."
