At the official weigh-in, WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno (34-2-1, 12KOs) of Panama came face to face with Saturday's opponent, Javier Chacon (19-1, 4KOs) of Argentina. The fight takes place at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City, and the card will be presented by Promociones y Eventos del Istmo. Moreno weighed in at 118-pounds, while Chacon was 117.
If Moreno comes through, his next fight would be a mandatory defense against Dominican slugger Juan Carlos Payano (15-0, 8 KOs).
