Hermosillo, Son - In a crowded press conference, the WBA flyweight world champion, Hernan "Tyson" Marquez, and challenger and former world champion Luis "Nica" Conception of Panama, went face to face for the first time in months since their memorable fight in Panama. They announced their rematch to the media in Mexico. On July 2 at the Arena Robert Duran, Marquez (31-2-0, 24 KOs) and Concepcion (23-2-0, 18 KOs) went to war with multiple knockdowns, before Concepcion was stopped in the eleventh. The rematch takes place on October 29 at the Multipurpose Center in Hermosillo, Sonora, promoted by Zanfer and broadcast by TV Azteca and Fox Sports.

"Let bygones be bygones. I made mistakes in the first fight with Marquez, but now I'll have a surprise in the ring and prove it and take away what belongs to me. I'll take that belt back to Panama. From the sound of the first bell, we are going go to go after him like a wounded animal. It is now time to settle accounts. I have no doubt that we will achieve another war, but I shall come out of it triumphant," Concepsion said.

"It was a dream to achieve this and I will not let anyone or anything take my belt away from me, much less Conception and much less in my own home. It motivates me that 'Nica' has come to Hermosillo to fight and promises a better fight than our first. Nica's style and mine is the same and a few months can not change anything. If he wants a war, it's a war he will have," Marquez said.
