Mexico City, Mexico - In front of a massive crowd of media in Mexico City yesterday, World Boxing Council (‘WBC’) Flyweight Champion ROMAN “Chocolatito” GONZALEZ and former world champion and #2 ranked challenger EDGAR SOSA held court to discuss their upcoming showdown set for Saturday, May 16 at the Forum and Live on HBO World Championship Boxing® beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

GONZALEZ vs. SOSA is the highly anticipated co-feature to the World Middleweight Championship between Boxing Superstar, WBA/IBO and WBC “Interim” Middleweight Champion GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN and #2 ranked contender
WILLIE MONROE JR.

Roman Gonzalez

“It’s an honor to be in Mexico City for this press conference. I’ve started training in Managua and camp is going very well.”

“I’m very proud to be fighting at such a legendary venue as the Forum on the same
show as one of my favorite fighters’, Gennady Golovkin.

“The Forum is special to me as my idol Alexis Arguello fought there and defended his world title.”

“I know Edgar very well, he’s a gentleman and a true warrior, and on May 16th we plan on stealing the show.”

Edgar Sosa

“Thank you to the all of the media for coming today, this is an outstanding turnout.

“I’ve been a world champion before and I’m ready to win the title again on May 16th
gonsalez gets a really easy fight, on hbo no less wow. hes -10000
I dont care what the odds say and Gonzalez might make it look easy but there's nothing "easy" about Sosa.
