Photos/Pre-Weights: Calderon, Vazquez and Melendez

Former world champions Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon and Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., and prospect Jorge "Destroyer" Melendez showed good condition during the final pre-fight weigh-in for their bouts on October 29 at the Coliseo Mario "Quijote" Morales in Guaynabo, in the WBO Champions Tournament card presented by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) as part of the 24th WBO Annual Convention.

Calderón (34-2-1, 6 KOs), a former 105 and 108 pounds WBO champion, who will face Mexican Felipe Rivas (11-8-1, 5 KOs) for the 105lb WBO Latino title. he weighed 108 pounds of a 110.25 maximum allowed by the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission.

Former WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vázquez Jr. (20-1-1, 17 KOs), who will fight for the WBO 122lb Intercontinental title against a foe to be named, weighed 130 of a 128.1 max, while Melendez (20-2-1, 20 KOs), who will fight for the WBO Latino junior middleweight title versus a rival to be announced, weighed 158 of a 161.7 maximum.

Also in the show Argentinian Yessica Yolanda Bopp (16-0, 7 KOs) will defend her WBO junior flyweight belt against Suzane Warner (9-10-1, 2 KOs) in a 10 round bout, and in another title bout, Javier Monserrate (24-1-1, 17 KOs) and Javier Castro (25-4, 20 KOs) will fight for the WBO Latino junior welterweight belt.

In four rounds bouts, Israel “El Heredero” Vázquez (3-0-2, 3 KOs) versus debutant Jesús Pagán in the flyweight division; Kenny Rivera (1-0, 1 KO) will face Leduan Barthelemy (2-0, 2 KOs) in the featherwight division, and debutants Anaury Rijo and Pablo de Jesus will fight in the junior middleweights.

The 24th WBO Annual Convention is from October 24 to October 29 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Isla Verde, Carolina, Puerto Rico.

It's not an infectin, WV2 has had them two years ago, not an infection. The card is terribly weak, w/ a bit ore'n a week away and still having TBA's...Best fight and fighter on the card is Yessica Bopp, truely…

anybody else see the horrible wounds on vazquez jr's hands? looks like maybe a staph infection?
