"We are honoring the careers of these fighters, Marquez, one of the best Mexican champions and Arce, one of the great champions of Mexico," said Valcárcel. "Marquez is our super champion at lightweight and we deliver this ring, while Arce became the first Mexican to win titles in five different weights."
Marquez (56-3-1, 39 KOs) is expected to fight for the interim WBO junior welterweight title on April 14 against Argentina's Cesar Rene Cuenca.
