Photos: Juan Francisco Estrada, Tyson Marquez Face-Off

By Rafael Soto

Former world champion Hernan "Tyson" Marquez went face to face with World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight champion Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada. The two fighters will collide on September 26 at the resort of Sonora.

"Gallo" Estrada (32-2, 23 KO's) vs. "Tyson" Marquez (39-5-1, 28 KOs) will be promoted by Zanfer Promotions and broadcast by Azteca 7, the House of Boxing.

Estrada is currently training in the mountains of Sonora. He hopes to continue his win streak to a future rematch with Nicaraguan Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez. Marquez anticipates no issue with getting down to 112-pounds.

A press conference was held last month to announce the contest and thus they were not able to size each other up before the press.

Hbo should have picked up this fight... With roman being in hbo, they needed to highlight Estrada and build the rematch into a big fight next year..

Marquez is way past it but I'm hoping he catches a second wind in his career or atleast has enough left in the tank to put on one last great performance. His fights against Concepcion and loss against Segura really…
