Felix will take on Marcos Jimenez of the Dominican Republic in the main event of a card promoted by Top Rank, Bash Boxing and The Art of Boxing.

“I am looking forward to this fight because it will be in Southern California. This will be the fourth time a fight here in the Los Angeles area and the fans have really been behind me”, said Felix, who has fought twice in Glendale and once in Hollywood in his las four fights.

“I am also looking forward to staying in the winning path and hope to get another world championship bout in the near future”, said Felix, who after suffering his only professional loss in a world championship bout on April of 2014, has won four fights, three of them before the distance.

“I moved up to lightweight after the championship fight and I feel great at this weight. A feel stronger and able to do more things, because I don’t have suffer to make the weight”, said Felix.

Coming from one of the hotbeds of Mexican boxing Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, home of great world champions like Jorge “Travieso” Arce, Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel, Humbert Soto and Hugo Cazares, to name a few is also very important to the young fighter.

“It’s a big responsibility for any boxer that comes from Los Mochis and gains a certain level of recognition in boxing. I want to be like those guys and I want the fans to know that when I go into the ring I come to fight and give then a great fight”, said Felix.
