Photos: Denis Grachev Training Hard For Edwin Rodriguez

By Chris Robinson

A look inside of Abel Sanchez’s Summit Gym in Big Bear, Calif., as super middleweight Denis Grachev (13-1-1, 8 KO’s) prepares for his July 13th clash with unbeaten Edwin Rodriguez (23-0, 15 KO’s) in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Grachev is coming off of 10-round split-decision victory over former champion Zsolt Erdei in late March. His match with Rodriguez will serve as the finale in the “Million Dollar Super 4″ tournament.

Overseeing Grachev’s work is his trainer and former MMA/jiu-jitsu fighter Carlos “Baruch” Ferreira. There has been a great feel in camp for Grachev, as Russian-born, San Diego resident has been training alongside middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, WBO junior middleweight champion Zaurbek Baysangurov, and several other talents.

Edwin better show up with his A game or he will get upset. No room for bullsh1t or lackluster performances. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for Android
