Photos: Daniel Ponce De Leon-Miguel Roman Presser

By Miguel Rivera

The final press conference took place for Saturday's fight between former champion Daniel Ponce De Leon (45-6, 35KOs) and 28-year-old WBC International silver lightweight champion Miguel Roman (45-11, 34KOs), taking place in Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Mexico. Roman is riding a streak of knockouts, including last November's shocking TKO of former champion Juan Carlos Salgado. Ponce De Leon has been stopped in two of his last three fights, including March's two round TKO at the hands of Juan Manuel Lopez. A loss to Roman will surely send him into retirement.
