Shields now becomes a three division world champion in only her tenth fight.
Habazin came right out after Shields. Shields was countering very well and using her speed. Both were using their defense very well. Shields' jab was very much in display and setting up big shots on Habazin.
Shields was easily controlling the third as Habazin appeared to be intimidated. More of the same in the fourth, with Shields starting to land a lot more. During the sixth, Shields scored a knockdown after landing a hard shot to the body. In the seventh, Shields was unloading with a lot of shots and overwhelming Habazin at times.
Shields in full control of the eight. Habazin was in full survival mode during the ninth. During the tenth, Shields was going for the knockout but unable to put Habazin away. Habazin was either trying to survive or was smothering her own work when she would smother Shields against the ropes.
