Photos: Charles Martin Takes Down Gerald Washington in Six

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - In an IBF eliminator, former heavyweight world champion Charles Martin (28-2-1, 25 KOs) knocked out Gerald Washington (20-4-1, 13 KOs) in the sixth round.

Martin was doing more work than Washington in the first two rounds. The action was going at a slow pace, with both boxing. Martin was doing most of the work and landing most of the punches. Washington was not doing much in return.

In the sixth, Martin landed a big right hand that sent Washington down hard. He was able to beat the count, but he was hurt and the fight was waved off.

Lotta fans automatically scoff at Martin over the Joshua fight.... conveniently forgetting it wasn't his ONLY fight. This fight here though IMO goes down as best all-around performance of his career so far. Would be great to see him in…
