Photos: Abraham, Sjekloca Final Presser Face To Face

WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (39-4, 28KOs) and Nikola Sjekloca (26-1, 8KOs) went face to face at the final press conference for their upcoming showdown. The fight takes place at the Velodrom in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, Germany. Abraham is making his first defense after recapturing the title in March with a hard-fought win over Robert Stieglitz in their trilogy match.

Here are the main quotes from today’s final press conference ahead of the fight between WBO Super-Middleweight World Champion Arthur Abraham (39-4, 28 KOs) and Nikola Sjekloca (26-1, 8 KOs) this Saturday at the Velodrom Berlin, Germany, which will host its first ever world title fight.

Arthur Abraham: "I am looking forward to defend the WBO Belt at home, in my town. It is great to return to the ring inside a span of two months  and I want to fight two more times after this one in 2014. Before calling it a career, sitting on the couch and watching TV at age 40, I want to meet Felix Sturm at Berlin's Olympic Stadium - that's what I am dreaming of."

Nikola Sjekloca: "I am thankful, finally getting the chance to fight for a world title after being rated highly in the pro ranks for such a long time. I lost to Bika but learned from my mistakes. I will show on May 3 that it was worth the wait and the experience, becoming Montenegro's first world champion."

Tickets for the fight night at the Velodrom Berlin, Germany are available via www.eventim.de.

I see that King Arthur is once again holding a belt hostage by fighting domestic level fighters in Europe.
