Photo: Oleg Maskaev Hits Moscow For Owen Beck Bout

by Ruslan Chikov, Allboxing.ru

Former WBC world WBC heavyweight Oleg Maskaev (35-6, 27 KOs), who on Dec. 30th will fight with Owen Beck (29-11, 20 KOs), arrived to Moscow from Los Angeles. For the 43-year-old Russian fighter it will be his first bout since the TKO defeat to Nagy Aguilera from three years ago.

"We devoted a lot of attention to the fight with a lot of shadow boxing, hitting the bag, tough sparring in the United States, and now we are working on speed. I've always wanted to make my fights here. Fighting in Mexico [with Samuel Peter], it would have been a different result if it would have been held in Russia," Maskaev said.

Boxing is dead or dying? How can it be when there are people out there who will even pay to watch crap like this.
