PBC on FS1 Weights: Washington 246, Mansour 221

By Jake Donovan

The busiest stretch yet for the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) movement comes this week, with four fight cards scheduled in a span of five days.

Kicking off the hectic run is the latest installment of PBC: Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays on Fox Sports 1, marking the last of six consecutive Tuesdays the series has aired before moving to a twice-per-month format.

Headlining the October 13 show - which takes place at Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Washington - is a heavyweight battle between unbeaten Gerald Washington and divisional gatekeeper Amir Mansour. While there is no weight limit for the division, both boxers are fighting fit for their 10-round bout.

Washington (16-0, 11KOs) tipped the scales at 246 lbs., his lightest weight in nearly two years. Mansour (22-1, 16KOs) weighed 221 lbs., up from his shockingly light 210 lb. weight for his last fight - a 10-round win over Joey Dawejko - but otherwise the lightest weight posted by the 42-year young heavyweight in more than four years.

Select bouts from the undercard include:

Canada's Phil Lo Greco looks to move past his knockout loss to rising star Errol Spence Jr., as he faces veteran Mexican spoiler Pablo Munguia in a 10-round bout. Lo Greco (26-2, 14KOs) tipped the scales at 150 lbs.; Munguia (21-8, 12KOs) weighed 146 lbs.

Unbeaten cruiserweight Michael Hunter (9-0, 6KOs) faces Canada's Janson Douglas (11-5, 4KOs) in a scheduled 10-round affair. Both fighters weighed 199 lbs., just under the cruiserweight limit (200 lbs.).

Heavy-handed light heavyweight Ahmen Elbiali (12-0, 11KOs) puts his unbeaten record on the line versus Mariano Hilario. Elbiali weighed 177 lbs., while Hilario (12-3, 5KOs) - a Dominican who resides in Spain - weighed 173 lbs. for his first career fight outside of Europe.

Welterweight trialhorse Wale Omotoso (25-2, 21KOs) fights for the first time since his brave showing in a hard-fought loss to Sammy Vasquez in June, as he faces Gilberto Sanchez-Leon. Omototo checked in at a combat-ready 146.4 lbs.; Sanchez-Leon weighed 147.6 lbs. for their scheduled 10-round affair.

Just found out Washington is half Mexican. Just on that he could have a huge fan base, if he is any good. I have never seen him box. He calls him self "El Gallo Negro" or in English "The Black…

I'd love to see Mansour drop Washington like a hot potato. From what I have seen from Washington, Mansour should be able to get rid of him.

I look forward to Mansour checking Washington's chin.
