South Mountain Arena, South Orange, New Jersey - In a battle of undefeated bantamweight contenders, Juan Carlos Payano (14-0, 8KOs) surived a bad cut and an early knockdown to knock Jundy Maraon (15-1-1, 12KOs) out. A clash of heads in the first round opened up a cut above the right eye of Payano. At the end of the third, Payano got caught and went down from a good shot. In the seventh, Payano landed a huge bomb that sent Maraon down for the full count.

Yenifel Vicente (25-1-2, 17KOs) stopped Jorge Diaz (17-2, 10KOs) in the fourth round to win the vacant WBC FECARBOX super bantamweight title. It was action for three rounds, with both landing good punches. In the fourth, Vicente drilled Diaz with a right hand the put him on his back. Diaz barely made it up, and then Vicente finished him against the ropes with a series of shots.

Junior middleweight prospect Anthony Gangemi (4-0, 3KOs) went the distance for the first time in his career with a four round majority decision over Anthony Prescott (1-2, 1KO). The scores were 38-38, 40-36 and 39-37 for Gangemi.
