Oscar Ahlin Is Promising Fireworks With Alvaro Gaona

The Swedish ‘Golden Boy’ Oscar Ahlin (11-0, 9 KOs) is promising excitement when he takes on Mexican super middleweight Alvaro Gaona (14-4, 9 KOs) on March 14 at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
 
The talented Stockholm fighter faces his second successive Latin American opponent, following an entertaining eight-round unanimous decision victory over Argentina’s Pablo Sosa in December.
 
‘’Latin Americans are always tough,’’ reflects Ahlin, ahead of his clash with ‘Le Cobra’ Gaona. ‘’They’re aggressive and they come to fight. I must prepare myself mentally and physically for war. After my last fight, my coach told me I fight like a Mexican, so it’s going to be an exciting fight for the fans. It’s not just about winning. I want to entertain the audience!’’
 
Injury kept Ahlin out of the ring for much of 2014, but now fully recovered and enjoying his work with coach Luis Lagerman, the 25 year-old is relishing a regular return to the spotlight.
 
‘’Everything is going great,’’ said Ahlin. ‘’I’ve been training with Luis for around 10 months now and I love it. We have the same view on boxing and I couldn’t be happier with the work we’re doing together.
 
‘’The last two years have been kind of slow for me because of injuries, but now I’ve recovered I’m ready to pick up the pace. It felt so good to be back at the end of last year. It’s going to be great fighting in Copenhagen again on March 14.’’
 
Otto Wallin (9-0, 7 KOs) is also in action at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen. The Swedish heavyweight can claim his tenth professional victory when he takes on David Gegeshidze (14-7-1, 3 KOs). Patrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KOs) headlines the March 14 show. The Danish boxing star faces George Tahdooahnippah (34-1-2, 24 KOs) in his super middleweight debut. The Nordic Fight Night will be broadcast on TV10 in Sweden.
