BoxingScene.com recently caught up with 130 pound WBO champion Orlando "Siri" Salido (42-12-2, 29KOs) who is in Las Vegas for the annual WBO convention.
On September 20th Salido engaged in a "Fight of the Year" candidate when he stopped Terdsak Kokietgym in 11 rounds. The fight had 7 total knockdowns, 3 of which were Salido hitting the deck. Salido said that he is very proud of his gutsy performance.
"It was a great fight. Kokietgym was ranked #3 and was a really good fighter. I trained hard for the fight and was able to come out with the win," said Salido.
BoxingScene.com was informed that the plan is for Salido to return to the ring in late February or early March.
Salido said that he hopes to face the best possible opposition.
"I will fight anyone at 130 pounds. I want to fight the best fighters out there and keep giving the fans good fights," Salido told BoxingScene.com.
