Novoa, Zulina Munoz and Rivas Win WBC Title Clashes

The WBC tripleheader, from the Centro de Espectaculos in Epazoyucan, Hidalgo, Mexico is now in the books. In the main event, WBC minimumweight champion Osvaldo Novoa (14-4-1, 9KOs) retained his title for the first time after stopped Alcides Martinez (12-3-8, 6KOs) in nine rounds, after the challenger was unable to continue any further. Martinez was down in the contest.

In the co-feature, WBC super flyweight champion Zulina Munoz (42-1-2, 27KOs) scored a sixth round stoppage over Renata Domsodi (12-5, 5KOs). Munoz dominated and closed the show with a hook to the lived in the sixth.

A scrap between bantamweights saw Yazmin Rivas (30-8, 9KOs) win a ten round unanimous decision over Alesia Graf (26-5, 11KOs) to capture the vacant WBC crown. Graf was down twice in the contest. The scores for Rivas were 98-90, 98-90 and 99-91.
