Ahmed Kaddour (26-2-1, 10 KOs) has rejoined Brian Mathiasen to prepare for the Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn on September 7. The 31-year-old light middleweight, who last fought in September 2012, will face Aleksei Tsatiasvili (4-4, 2 KOs) from Estonia.

“I am thrilled to be fighting again,” Kaddour said. “I don't remember the last time I have been so serious about training. I'm training hard and I love being back, I'm training with Brian again, that alone says it all, and I am very happy about it.

“We don't bulls***.  Brian knows me really good. He is the only one who knows how to push me hard and get me in great shape.

“The fans can expect a new Babyface back in action like old school. I'm very hungry, trust me, throw me naked in the jungle and I'll come out with leopard pants and Versace suit!”

Mathiasen says it´s now-or-never for his talented fighter, who has been given one last chance and will be put through a brutal training camp.

“Ahmed has made so many wrong moves in his career,” Mathiasen said.

“He has had quite a few adventures outside the ring. But inside the ring, he has done nothing. He has squandered his unique talent.

“I trained him at the start of his professional career for ten fights. Back then, he had the whole world in front of him.

“At first I was negative when he asked me to train him again, but now we will give it a go. This is his last chance, and he is making good progress in the gym. He has not been training hard for the last ten years, so it takes some time for him to get in great shape again.

“But now he is back in the routine of training every day, and his body is starting to get used to it. There is still some training to do to get into top shape, but in October he will be in the shape of his life, if he can keep his motivation.

“And on September 7, he will ready for a six-rounder.”

In the main event on September 7, WBA Intercontinental Middleweight Champion Patrick Nielsen (19-0, 9 KOs) defends his title against Patrick Majewski (21-1, 13 KOs), while pound-for-pound number one Cecilia Braekhus (22-0, 6 KOs), the WBA, WBC and WBO Female Welterweight Champion, faces unbeaten Oxandia Castillo (12-0-2, 9 KOs).
