Former WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev has revealed that he doesn't plan on fighting at any point in 2012. Like WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, Valuev became involved in the world of politics and right now the "Russian Giant" is focused on his political career in Russia. Valuev (50-2, 34KOs) has not fought since losing a close to decision, and his title, to David Haye in 2009. The boxer underwent a series of operations to correct numerous injuries that he suffered during his boxing career. Discussions to have a fight with Vitali Klitschko took place in 2010, but no agreement was ever reached as the two sides could not come together on the financial terms.
