Nicola Adams Inks Managerial Deal With Goodwin Boxing

By Elliot Foster

Nicola Adams has signed a managerial deal as she looks to push on in the paid ranks.

The 35-year-old Leeds woman, a former two-time Olympic gold medallist, returns to the ring next month.

Adams will fight in her home city, at Elland Road, on May 19, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation

.

But ahead of her fight over 10 rounds on the undercard of Lee Selby’s IBF featherweight world title defence against hometown hero Josh Warrington, the undefeated flyweight (3-0, 2 KOs) has inked a deal with Steve Goodwin and Goodwin Boxing.

She will still be promoted by Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions.

Adams’ appearance on the undercard of Selby vs. Warrington will be flanked by a whole host of other names.

Former British super-lightweight champion Jack Catterall will feature, as WBO European super-featherweight champion Lyon Woodstock and undefeated cruiserweight Jordan Thompson.

Nathan Gorman will be in action, as well as Mark Heffron, Danny Wright, Reece Mould and Darren Tetley, who takes on Mason Cartwright for the vacant WBO European welterweight championship.

Former Team GB starlet Jack Bateson and undefeated featherweight Jack Daniel will also feature.
