Murray Withdraws From Fletcher For Felix Sturm Rematch?

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to a report in Daily Mail, WBA interim-middleweight champion Martin Murray (26-1-1, 11KOs) has been presented with a lucrative offer to have a rematch with Felix Sturm, now the IBF's champion at 160, in Germany.

The paper's report comes directly on the back of Murray's withdrawal from a scheduled fight with Jarrod Fletcher on February 1 in Monte Carlo.

Sturm (39-3-2, 18KOs) and Murray went to a controversial twelve round draw in 2011, in a fight where many felt Murray had done enough to win.

Macklin was robbend against Sturm but Felix clearly won the fight against Murray. It was not even close.
When he beats Sturm, it will make the GGG even bigger.
Thats a big IF. I doubt Murray will fight GGG if he wins. He'll likely get it on with Macklin in a big money fite given he wins…
