Mosley: Amir Khan Shouldn't Give Himself False Hope

By Ryan Burton

Shortly after his dominant unanimous decision victory over Devon Alexander, Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) declared that he had the perfect style to hand pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) his first career loss.

When advised of Khan's declaration, future Hall of Famer Shane Mosley cautioned that Khan shouldn't be over confident if he lands his dream fight.

"I think that he is boosting himself up but he shouldn't give himself false hope," Mosley stated while pointing out that fighting Alexander and Mayweather are two different animals. "You still have to work hard. Devon is the type of fighter who throws punches at the train track while Mayweather sees the train track. It might be kind of difficult for Khan to find Mayweather."

[QUOTE=Biolink;15236665]Khan cannot fight inside worth a damn. It's funny that people don't expect Mayweather to exploit such a LARGE GLARING HOLE. You could drive a bus through that hole in Khan's game. He can't fight inside, and he can't fight…

Floyd is looking for two low risk fights for a cheap belt or two to close out safely his $200M SHO Lottery check. It won't be Manny ever, it's not a Cotto rematch, and he already said no to Khan.…

I think this is possible, Mayweather beats Pacquiao in May, a close but unanimous decision. Khan beats Pacquiao later in the year by a more convincing decision. Mayweather vs Khan won't happen.

Khan needs to move on to Brook. Mayweather will not take this fight, high risk low reward. Pac is high risk but high reward. This fight will not happen.
