IBF junior middleweight champion Carlos Molina (22-5-2, 6KOs) wants a unification fight with WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs). Molina must first overcome a mandatory defense of his title on October 11th against former champion Cornelius "K9" Bundradge at the Oasis Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. Mayweather also holds the WBC/WBA titles at the welterweight limit.

"Being in Mexico I have not forgotten names like Miguel Cotto and Saúl Álvarez, but I also aspire to challenge and to beat Floyd Mayweather. I think recently his performance was lower, because he could not sustain the pace of fight against Marcos Maidana and there were consequences," said Molina.

"I have boxing, the ability and the legs to face him and beat him. Mayweather is not like he was before. You could see at the end [of the fight with Maidana] there were already some shortcomings. I can beat him and hopefully one day I'll get that fight."
