Mikael Zewski dropped Jose de Jesus Macias once en route to a unanimous decision late Thursday night at the Montreal Casino in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The fight was fought at the junior middleweight limit, where Zewski, a former welterweight prospect, tipped the scale at 154 pounds.
Zewski (30-1, 22 knockouts), who resides in nearby Trois-Rivieres, dropped Macias with a left hook to the head in the fourth round. Macias had his moments, but the taller Zewski outboxed the fighter from El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico throughout the second half of the fight.
Scores were 78-73, 78-73, and 77-74 for Zewski, who has won his last four bouts.
Macias had his three-bout winning streak snapped.
Junior middleweight Marie Eve Dicaire remained unbeaten, winning a hard-fought 10 round majority decision over Marisa Gabriela Nunez.
One judge scored the bout 95-95, while the other two judges scored the bout 96-94 in favor of Dicaire, who improved to 11-0.
The 34-year-old Nunez (7-9-4), who resides in Buenos Aires, has dropped her last four bouts.
Welterweight prospect Bruno Bredicean (10-0, 4 KOs) knocked out Cesar Chavez (32-13, 18 KOs) at 40 seconds of the second round.
