The partnership between Groupe Yvon Michel and Golden Boy Promotions, which Michel discussed with BoxingScene.com/Netboxe.com last spring, is finally taking shape. Michel advised Vincent Morin of 24H Journal that one of his boxers, super middleweight Adonis Stevenson (14-1-0), who is the current NABA champion, would return on the Floyd Mayweather-Victor Ortiz undercard at the MGM Grand Las Vegas on Sept. 17. Stevenson would face Dion Savage (10-1-0) of Michigan. Another boxer from his stable, not yet identified, will fight on Golden Boy's ESPN televised special on Sept. 16.

Golden Boy, based out of California, will increase their number of live events in the coming months and this agreement with Yvon Michel is not fortuitous. In 2012 Golden Boy will present a series of events in New York City and Don Majeski, who works closley with Michel and the GYM boxers, will likely handle the matchmaking.

In the case of Superman Stevenson, a victory would allow him, according to the report from 24H, to fight on the Oct. 15 undercard to Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson.

"If he is impressive, he could fight again in a preliminary clash on the HBO card between Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson on Oct. 15 in Los Angeles," Michel adds. "If it's too close, another one of our boxers will be on this card and Adonis will see action at our event in which Jean Pascal will be the headliner in December."

Michel further said - "concerning the fight involving Jean Pascal, negotiations continue effectively with Don King to set up a clash between Pascal and the IBF world champion at light heavyweight, Tavoris Cloud.

Regarding the rumor that was circulating for several days, the first gala of the Fast & Furious series, scheduled for Sept. 23 at the Bell Centre, will be soon introduced in the middle of October.
