The clash between Juan Carlos Salgado, the former super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), and Argenis Mendez of the Dominican Republic, is getting pushed back to September 10, with the vacant IBF super featherweight title at stake, accoridng to promoter Hector Garcia of HG Boxing. The fight has been pushed back a few times already, and no venue has been finalized.

Salgado has a record of 23 wins, 16 knockouts, one loss and one draws, while Mendez has a record of 18 wins, 9 by the knockout and one loss.

"My desire is to become a world champion again... I know I'm going to achieve this," Salgado concluded.
