McWilliams Arroyo To Face Erickson Martell in Caguas

McWilliams Arroyo (6-1, five KOs) is officially set for April 1 to take on a Dominican resident of Caguas in Puerto Rico, Erickson Martell (4-2-1 and 3 KOs), in what will be the firm test for the former Junior Amateur champion.

"We sparred on several occasions and we know each other quite well. It's a tough fight and it will be a good night of boxing. I recommend that you go on April 1 to Caguas and enjoy," he said.

Arroyo said that if he's successful in this fight, he will return on May 6 in the Pedrin Zorrilla. It his understanding that by the end of the year, or early in 2012, he will be looking for a world title.

If he plans to make noise in the division and fight for a title by years end or early '12, he needs to fight a ranked contender not someone 4-2.

This kid got less then 10 fights and already making noise for a title he will own the division
